Illustrations: Robins

This is one of my earlier assignments from Intro to Illustration. The goal was to take a state bird, research it and create two black and white greyscale images. I mistook this to be purely black and white (which I'm not particularly good at) and made line art.

It was my first time using a nib pen, and I'm definitely going to continue experimenting with them. The second one I went back too and added value with the intention of coloring it, but with the amount of time I have it wasn't big on my list.

This one I used the state flower of the three states that have the Robin as the state bird as well as playing on there symbolism as messengers of spring.
